Spring 2018:Behind the Scenes

Exclusive photos from the Purple Label presentation at the Palazzo Ralph Lauren in Milan

The ultimate expression of the Ralph Lauren men’s aesthetic deserves the ultimate venue—and there’s no better way to describe the Palazzo Ralph Lauren, the exquisite, 12,000-square-foot Milanese mansion that served as the backdrop for the debut of Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2018 Purple Label collection this past June.

The collection saw Ralph Lauren bringing new levels of elegance and ease to Purple Label, with a lighter, less structured take on tailoring (crafted, as always, from fabrics developed exclusively for Ralph Lauren), accompanied by a strong sporting throughline, which was defined by references to early competitive cycling—including the signature “Tour de Ralph” sweater—and complemented by standout pieces like stenciled denim influenced by vintage punk rock jackets, and a Glen plaid dinner jacket crafted from a lightweight silk traditionally used for neckties.

Guests mingled, champagne was served, and Ralph Lauren staffer Scott Rudin was on hand to capture the moment on film. Before you shop the Spring 2018 Purple Label collection, explore the exclusive, behind-the-scenes photos below.
